In 1983, President Ronald Reagan declared February 11 to be National Inventors Day in the U.S. The date was selected in part as a tribute to Thomas Alva Edison, who was born on this very day in 1847. The inventor of the light bulb, he held over 1000 patents.
However, National Inventors Day honors ALL inventors, and recognizes the enormous impact innovation has on technology, industry, and our world. There is an inventor in all of us. Let this day inspire YOUR creativity and imagination
